Acceptable Use and Content Policy

Last Updated: September 30, 2026

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers everything you create, upload or share with Genga: prompts, reference images, generated images and video, projects and anything you publish. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Genga is for adults. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use it.

2. Child safety: zero tolerance

Never create, upload or share sexual content involving minors, or characters who appear to be minors. This includes anime, chibi, cartoon and other stylized characters, and it applies whether the content is real or generated. Do not create content that sexualizes children in any way.

We close accounts that break this rule permanently, and we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

3. What you can't make or share

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content
  • Intimate or sexual imagery of anyone without their consent
  • Depictions of real, identifiable people that are sexual, that could deceive people about what they said or did, or that harass them, and uses of a real person's likeness without their consent
  • Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or threatens or incites real-world violence
  • Content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders
  • Hate speech, or content that harasses or demeans people for who they are
  • Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, including references you don't have the right to use
  • Fraud, scams, forged documents or content made to mislead people about real events
  • Anything else that is illegal where you live or where Genga operates

Don't try to get around these rules or our providers' safety systems, for example by rewording a refused request to slip past them.

4. Storytelling

Genga is built for stories, and stories have conflict. Fictional violence, action, horror and mature themes are fine as long as they don't cross the lines above.

5. How generation is checked

Genga generates images and video with AI models from third-party providers, and requests and outputs are checked by those providers' safety systems. A request may be refused or an output withheld; when that happens, you are not charged for it.

You must also follow the use policies of the model providers whose models you use through Genga. Where their rules are stricter than ours, theirs apply.

6. Reporting content

To report content that breaks this policy, email team@genga.io with a link to it, or the project or profile name, and what is wrong with it.

For child safety reports, put “Child safety” in the subject line. Do not attach or send us the content itself; a link or name is enough. You can also report child sexual abuse material directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.

7. What happens when the rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • Remove the content or make it private
  • Restrict features on your account
  • Suspend or permanently close your account
  • Report it to law enforcement where the law requires or allows it

Accounts closed for breaking this policy may lose access to unused credits, as described in our Terms of Service.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. When we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the product. Questions? Email team@genga.io.
